The Village
BRANDING
The Village logo commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC’s historic 1979 Championship win. As the club’s history is an integral part of the club’s identity, this mark is integrated into the Club’s primary branding.
Initially, the vision was to create a modern brand inspired by the 1979 team logo. However, to truly honour the Club’s history, the original typeface, graphic elements, and icon are repurposed in the current team colours. It is a nod to the team’s past and a celebration of the growing community built by fans, players, staff and stakeholders.
